Cambridge Topics in English Language
Cambridge Topics in English Language is a series of accessible introductory study guides to major scholarly topics in the fields of English linguistics and stylistics, suitable for students at advanced level and beyond. Written and edited by subject experts and with input from the Cambridge Corpus, the titles look at the way meaning is made using authentic real-world written and spoken examples, supporting confident analysis and articulate responses. Using short activities to help explain analysis methods, the series guides students through major modern issues and concepts, summarising key concerns and modern findings and providing inspiration for language investigations and NEAs with research suggestions, practice questions and further reading lists.
